The project THE GATE TO THE CULTURAL HERITAGE

Historical monuments are together with the beauties of nature values that have formed our culture for centuries. They serve as a means to gain knowledge and relaxation, and last but not least they are also an attraction for foreign visitors.
Information is the entrance gate to the world of the cultural heritage. However, not all the custodians of objects can afford an expensive advertising campaign and from this need the idea to work together within a non-for-profit programme originated. We introduce you the project The Gate to the Cultural Heritage - a project that will present the sights open to the public as living centres of education, relaxation and entertainment.

What does The Gate to the Culture Heritage offer?

You will find information about sights at the cashier's desk.

There will be a map, where the partner objects are marked out, in castles, chateaux and other sights open to the public. A stand with leaflets containing some characteristics of the sight, its opening times, local attractions and in some cases more details will be placed nearby. Obviously, for free. The magazines and postcards will be offered for sale.

The magazine the Gate to the Cultural Heritage

It will be released several times a year, the zero issue has been available since September 2003. It has these contents: news about sights, reports and articles, interviews, columns, competitions and also views into the secrets of preservation of old objects. Simply, we try to make our magazine extraordinary, entertaining and educative.

The Internet portal

You can find the survey of Czech, Moravian and Silesian sights on the web pages. The list of cultural events will be added soon and we will provide all the information in different languages. We offer space and creation of web presentations to objects without their own internet pages.

Competitions

The project plan includes creation of competitions that will motivate the general public to go sightseeing. Competitions will be devised to enable to process the results for marketing use and to find the trends in attendance of historical monuments.

Marking of the sights

We offer co-operation with the conception of traffic and cyclo-tourist signs and unification traffic signs in the EU style.

How to join in?

We offer custodians of historical monuments the possibility to join in the project. Membership is free of charge, the only condition is the will to co-operate. We offer presentation on leaflets, the Internet portal, or the possibility to contribute to the magazine. We also offer experience exchange between custodians( wardens) of member objects.

Who finances the project?

We aim at the support from the state administration, foundations and also gifts from business or private persons. However, the project could not start without contributions from the first member objects. Advertising is another source of financial means (advertising on leaflets, in the magazine or on the Internet).

If you have the possibility and if you want to support the project, you can either send a financial gift on the account 112641750/0300 or contact Mr Marek Ševeček on the phone (+420) 777 663 119. We thank to all our sponsors and advertisers.
